DANCE FESTIVALS
At Oliver Brown Dance Academy along side our syllabus and non-syllabus classes children are given the opportunity, to enter for dance festivals.
What is a dance Festival?
The dance festivals are competition based, but are encouraged as performance opportunities, a chance to meet children from other dance schools and strive for improving style and technique.

Candidates can perform dances in any of several dance styles:
Ballet, Modern, Tap, Lyrical, Street, Song and dance/Musical theatre, Contemporary, Improvisation, Choreography! before an adjudicator/judge.
These styles can be danced within a Solo, Duet, Trio, Quartet or a group.
The festivals run frequently throughout the year, information will be available on our Facebook page regarding up and coming festivals.

Usually festival dances are taught within a private lesson, which can be individual or shared. Prices for private lessons are:
15 mins: £7.50
30 mins: £15.00
45 mins: £22.50
60 mins: £30.00
If you think this is something that your child would be interested in, please contact Megan for more information.
