Our Dance School offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced teachers are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible. If your child can’t sit still and loves to dance bring them along to one of our street classes. We keep up to date with the latest music in the charts and work on routines to show at the end of term. Within the class students learn tricks, street steps and lots of fun choreography.
Following the ISTD syllabus, Students learn discipline, core strength and artistry. Ballet is so important for all genres of dance. The technique and discipline learnt in Ballet transfers and helps with the development of each dancer in all genres of dance.
Following the ISTD syllabus, Students learn artistry and dynamics as well as all the lyrical and jazz dance techniques. The progression through the grades allows the dancer to develop flexibility and strength ready for high kicks, leaps, turns and choreography.
In our Jazz classes we are working towards perfecting our basic jumps, kicks and turns and moving on to more advanced steps. Please note if you would like to join our Jazz classes you must be attending a modern class.
Following the ISTD syllabus, Students learn timing, rhythm, and a solid tap technique.
Our musical theatre classes focus on singing, acting and movement. Learning and performing songs from the musicals this fun class is perfect for those who love to sing and perform. Sadie will help each child find their voice and give them the confidence to deliver a killer performance.
STRETCH AND CONDITIONING
Along side our dance classes we also offer our stretch and conditioning class. This class is brilliant for developing flexibility and strength. Between classes its great to keep stretching to help get those legs higher and leaps longer. Learn tips to take home and practice.
Here at Oliver Brown Dance Academy we feel that a happy, confident child will succeed in what ever they put their mind to dance or otherwise. This syllabus promotes confidence and teaches dancers to trust themselves and enjoy movement. Every child has their own style and individuality which is celebrated.
